Motswedi - Emerging Asset Manager Survey - Listed Investments - July 2020

Welcome to our July 2020 survey. Asset managers which manage equities with a Quality style of investing have found it very difficult to outperform the Capped SWIX. These managers have not been rewarded for the underweight allocation to resources in particular Gold.

In the Global Multi-Asset (Reg-28) survey, we have introduced risk return scatter plots and take account of the various benchmarks and CPI targets these managers use.

Motswedi have done some interesting work on the Financial Sector Transformation Council (FSTC) voluntary annual BEE procurement score card which the Retirement Funds industry should submit… Motswedi would love to discuss with you some of our views on the FSTC score card as well as the impact of your asset managers on your score.
