Emerging Asset Manager Survey Listed Investments - August 2020

Welcome to our August 2020 survey. A volatile month in August 2020 saw the Equity ALSI end down -0.3% and Listed Property ending down -8.6%. The ALBI was the best performing asset class in August 2020 with a total return of only 0.9%.

Year to date, cash has been king, being the best performing asset class with a total return of +4.0%.

Thank you for the positive comments regarding the enhancements to the Global Multi-Asset (Reg-28) survey, which aims to take account of the various benchmarks and CPI targets these managers use.

At Motswedi we believe in the Transformation of the South African Financial Services Industry and in particular the Asset Management Industry.
