Old Mutual Corporate's free webinar to SA Businesses prepare a return to work post Covid Vaccination
Building general immunity to COVID-19 is everyone’s business.
Vaccination against COVID-19 will be a key component of South African businesses to return to 100% productivity and limit the long-term health and economic impact of the pandemic.
This is according to Malusi Ndlovu, Managing Director: Large Enterprises at Old Mutual Corporate, who welcomes representatives from corporates and SMEs to a free 90-minute live panel discussion on Thursday 22 April at 13:00 to unpack several important considerations of the roll out of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Hosted by leading financial journalist Arabile Gumede, the webinar will discuss strategies South African workplaces can engage to appropriately evaluate and manage employees prior and post receipt of a COVID-19 vaccination.
Speakers will include leading healthcare experts such as:
Head of University of Witwaterstand Clinical HIV Research Unit, Professor Ian Sanne, discussing the latest developments by Government on who’s eligible for vaccination;
Independent Health & Wellness Consultant and member of the Right to Care Covid Vaccination Task Team, Dr Grietjie Strydom who will address the role of occupational health services at the workplace including how to utilise existing wellness providers;
CareWorks Executive Director, Dr Nkateko Msimeki who will be discussing employee’s willingness to return to work and educating employees;
Prabashini Moodley, MD Old Mutual Corporate, will discuss the concerns of South African corporates and SMEs and what information they seek from healthcare providers, medical aids and the Government.
According Ndlovu, developing return-to-work strategies will be key to minimising the number of employees who are unnecessarily excluded from work by circumstances beyond their control.
“By extension, managing this enables businesses to reduce the possibility of disruptions in workplace operations and get all workers back to work as quickly and safely as possible,” says Ndlovu.
Other topics to be covered in the webinar include:
How to prepare employees for returning to the workplace;
The role of medical schemes and occupational health services in the roll-out of the vaccine;
Government regulation regarding the distribution of vaccines;
Supporting material will be shared with participants attending the webinar, says Ndlovu.
“Each webinar guests will receive a free e-pack with useful material to help their organisation develop their own unique comprehensive back-to-work strategy that will suit the needs of their workplace”.
